One of the groups hit hardest since the Tories came to power are children and young people who have had, amongst other things, their youth and sports clubs cut.
We all agree that this is wrong and we want more for young people to do after school and at weekends. Young people need to stay safe and active outside school.
That is why I'm campaigning to open an Onside Youth Zone locally. If you haven't heard of them Onside is a fantastic charity that runs purpose built youth centres for 8 - 19 year olds and up to 25 year old for those with disabilities.
The centre will be open 365 days a year and offer action packed activities for every evening including sports, arts, dance, fashion and music. What's more, it would cost attendee's just 50p per evening and just £1 for a hot meal.
We need to convince Sandwell Council and other local funders to give my plan the go ahead. If you think that an Onside Youth Zone would be great for our young people, please sign below.
