Speeding motorbikes and mopeds are a scourge on our streets, bringing misery to residents across Sandwell.
But I'm pleased to say that our voices have been heard following the two public meetings I organised last year.
Police are now firmly committed to targetting off-road riders, and bringing perpetrators to book using CCTV.
And in a new development they are to use the Black Country's ground-breaking "car cruising" injunctions.
The High Court order applies where two or more vehicles – including motorbikes –  are involved in speeding, racing and performing stunts, risking injury and damage, noise and nuisance to others. Organising motorbike or moped gatherings on public land will also be banned under the order.
Any breach of the order can lead to a maximum sentence of two years in prison, seizure of assets or a fine.
It's great to know that the police have listened to us. Now it's our turn to help them do their jobs effectively by reporting offenders to the police via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
